If you like your food cold and estimated time to be wrong by double. Then this is the place for you. Called in and was told 20 mins. Got there in 25 mins (just to make sure it was ready). Waited till it hit the 45 min mark and asked for an update. Cashier goes to the back kitchen and 2 mins later has my food. Zero steam and the perch was so deep fried that the fish practically was gone. They need to change the name from Detroit Soul to Mediocre Detroit. First time and only time customer Forgot, the hot sauce was good. Saved the meal.

Amazing food! If you haven’t tried it out yet you have too! I ordered a catfish dinner with yams and rice. I also got a turkey wing dinner with greens. Everything was fresh; some of the best soul food I’ve had in the D! P.S. you gotta get the peach cobbler

I have frequented this establishment since they have opened. The food is amazing!!! Every time I have gone, I have been greeted with a smile and professionalism. Sundays are a lot busier than other days so be prepared for a wait. Even with this you are informed of the wait time. However you can see them working with urgency to get your order done. If you are looking for good soul food try this place, you won't be disappointed!!!

Communication is key,and the people around u have to have the same motivation as the owner serving quality food and services. Perhaps even offer an incentive like a bonus at the end of the year or semi anunally.

Detroit Soul will NOT be open on Thanksgiving day and the day after Thanksgiving. We will resume normal business on Saturday, Nov.24th from 11am to 8pm.
