Parents should be able to make informed decisions about their kid's health care without retaliation from hospital staff.

Do not bring your child here under any circumstance. These people like to medically kidnap children. They do not respect parents and they do not respect getting A second opinion. I would never ever ever bring my child here!!!!

Yes they will always see the children. If you need assistance with prescriptions they have someone to help
There is a cafeteria, a diner, a gift shop, a coffee shop, and a Subway.
I am unaware of any programs like that, but if you call the main line the operator may be able to put you in touch with someone who knows, or perhaps a program coordinator to look into it.
Every visitor over the age of 18 needs state or government issue photo ID, unless your appointment is with an outpatient clinic.
No not me lol
Potentially. I know several Kansans who don't have trouble. It's definitely worth checking.
Don't...
Volunteer Services can assist you. If you go to the security desk at the main entrance they can point you in the right direction. https://www.childrensmercy.org/help-our-kids/donate-goods/
Hello, good morning to all from the heart. My greetings
They do accept KS medicaid. Unfortunately only one parent is allowed in right now bc of Covid.
No, there is another address to send items to patients. The parent/guardian can get this from the patient's social worker.
I hope you get answers soon, but this is the wrong format / place to ask. This is a group of people who have visited CMH and left an opinion or photo.
Some doctors speak Spanish. But there are always interpreters available. You should only request it. All very kind
Try getting his bedside nurse on the phone. You need the last 4 digits of his MR#. Been there more often than we care to be and never had an issue. 24/7
I'm pretty sure they do. Check with the Nurses they should be able to let you know where they're located.
Call the hospital. They might be able to connect you
1 (816) ) 234- 3373 Hope this helps
They mail you the bill about a month later. Plus, they have financial assistance. Cdo you receive the invoice. There is a number you can call. You give them your information and they tell you if it qualifies.
There are several right by Crown Center including The Weston and Sheraton. Plus, downtown isn't far and there are several there.

Best to have your parents there just incase
The nurses station should be able to provide you with all paperwork and directions for the check out process. All staff on duty are always available to assist you with any questions you have.
Im nit sure about a hotel but across the street they have a Ronald McDonald house where you can stay. I stayed there back in 2001 when my son had surgery. Jyst make arrangements to get a room thier. It is a real nice place ro be while your child is in go hands.
Thats going to be a question for your doctor.
Children's Mercy is the best hospital I've ever been to in my entire life my granddaughter that just turned 2 on the 21st of April got a new kidney on the 20th of April she is doing amazing we have been at Children's Mercy for 5 months she had stage 3 childhood liver cancer and she's doing magnificent she's already out of pick you into a regular room and she's playing and setting up the therapist come four of them a day and help her and help me take care of her this is an amazing Hospital anytime you want to talk to me about this hospital I will give you everything I know they are there for the children each unit has five volunteers that help and all the nurses help her everyday if no one comes they put her in her high chair and put it behind the nurses station or they walk her around and hold her they are so magnificent at that hospital the doctors are wonderful wonderful wonderful I cannot say enough about the doctors the whole Children's Mercy is magnificent
As long as children have their baby teeth, after that they are referred to another dentist.
We should but to be fair it's best you come in so that Admissions can check. Wouldn't want to turn away a child in need.
Im not really sure.i do know that they are willing to help a family and there child in any crisis. Like another person you talk to Finicnal people there CMH and they will work with you. Please just ask for the help. Every message i recviced from them is bring a fifty dollar copay or talk to finance. I hope i helped you. I know that they caring people when your children are sick. Thank you for a good question about CMH.
Yeah I watch their videos about I'ill kids. The doctors r kind and sweet to kids. My daughter got hospitalized there twice.
Im not sure if they do, but they just might.
If you are unsure, you can download Children's Mercy's app which has maps, or you can always ask Security. Nine times out of ten, the Volunteers desk will have someone escort you if you need it.
Did you find it?
