Well, they bought out WCA and immediately hiked our rate 22.5%. I know this is the game trash companies play - I used to work for one. But that is extreme by any calculation. It's a holiday so I couldn't talk to anyone on the phone, which is fine, but I hope their customer service makes up for their horrible takeover policies. Otherwise we'll be calling Ted's. UPDATE: We did end up switching when they canceled our recycling (all recycling, as I understand) and did not lower the rate, even though we were paying a recycling fee. We now use KC Disposal.

Google maps directed me to the wrong location, where I'm from a dump site is just a lot with dumpsters so I unloaded my debris there. I was then confronted by a truck driver who informed me I was illegally dumping. He helped load the debris back into my car and directed me to the transfer station.

The folks driving the trucks are awesome !!

I don’t understand why, but I was on hold for 48 min waiting to hear from someone rather than the automated system. I was scheduling a bulk item pickup. When someone finally got on the line I told her to hold on so I could go and get my bank card (I didn’t have it ready bc last time this occurred I was able to put the $50 on my bill). The woman that answered was extremely rude, rushing me off the phone, placed me on hold when I asked her to give me a second, then proceeded to hang up on me. I don’t understand the unprofessionalism from this provider & their staff!

Terrible service since WA went to GFL
We've been using WCA aka Town & Country since wed dump Defenbaugh about 6 years ago. No problems or complaints. I can see why people get frustrated with lawn waste pickup. My own fault a few times for not checking their schedule for that service. Dragging those bags back around the house was no fun. If its something other than normal trash, you should call 'em.
They just throw the "recycling" away with the trash but you are paying more to go "green."
It will be the next day due to the holiday.
Calling does no good.. Last Thursday, a person from WCA, town and country, what ever it is called, was here and explained, he would be here, Friday, the next day, to put wheel back on, that has been broke for 3 weeks now, and set new dumpster!!!! What a joke.. We r a senior living facility, this dumpster, is still here, trash all over the ground, and as typical for this company, it was all lip service.. When u call, all you get is ,HOLD, and never return calls.. Piss poor company....
Was charged $48.00 is what I paid the lady at the scale house.
Maybe in Belton, not real sure though...
I don't know for sure but I think it's just reasonable
Mmm, what does that mean lol
Newspapers, cardboard, magazines, paper, glass bottles and jars, plastic milk jugs, ice cream buckets, yogurt, butter containers, aluminum cans, aluminum foil, aluminum trays...
It's not hard to pick up the phone to call and ask. Google or siri will give the number and address
Go to the WCW website and put in your zip code, it will show your local offices.
That question can only be accuratly answered with a phone call to them. They can answer all your questions.
They will not pick up anykind of construction debry. Including carpet scraps. Sorry. You can take them to their facility on 291 hwy north of Harrisonville. It will cost you but I do not know how much. I can not think of any place else to take them. At WCA you will be on concrete with little chance of tire damage vs. Knee deep mud. Every other "Dump" you will run this risk Good luck
As of right now they are still running on schedule. You can check the WCA Kansas City FB page for the latest updates
Yes
No, wca is closed on Thanksgiving and usual routes are pushed back by one day for the remainder of the week. Should resume back to normal the following week.
Nope, they picked up both at the same time in the past, I don't know why it would have been any different. I changed companies and they pick up at the same time every week. Very pleased with Gravitt!
They are. On your regular pick up day. But not usually with the garbage. Sometimes very late in the day, so have some patience. I suggest duct taping bags shut and stack so wind won't knock em over. Don't lean agaist the trash can cuz thats picked up first. I don't understand why this issue isn't addressed on their homepage. I had tocall and wait 15 minutes before someone could tell me about the leaf bag pickup.
I would call them. Though its never been a huge problem there have been a few times they weren't very careful about completely emptying the can. Also.. It's rare, but I've have had neighbors toss things in my empty can.
Same here, very inconsistent. I was told the same thing.
No, it will be pushed back a day.
They didnt pick up our trash for 3 weeks. Stopped using them. Terrible service.
While styrofoam is classified as a recyclable item, there are very few places in the USA that actually reprocess the stuff. To be economical as a business, a company would need thousands of cubic yards of the stuff every week. There just isn't enough provided by the TVs and stereos purchased in this area. Therefore, it goes into regular trash.
