This is the most unorganized facility Iv ever seen! They push liberal logic down your throat! Making everyone go around and say their “pronouns!” They are still acting like it’s spring of 2020! Wearing masks, checking temps, covid screening, it’s excessive and ridiculous! They want us to be “inclusive” yet we can’t stand up for our beliefs and say I am jus a female! They make you finish everything, even if you put extra on your plate, if not they make you drink a supplement!! You are supposed to be getting better at feeling and registering your hunger cues. However if your full and not done, you get called out in front of everyone and get threatened with a supplemental boost or to jus stuff the food down. And then there are the therapists that want you to do their job for them! Asking you to figure out how to get better?! I wouldn’t have gone if I had the answers to that. They also make a lot of excuses yet don’t take accountability. Very unhappy I spent 3 months of my life here, jus to need to attend another facility! Run don’t walk from here!

Doing residential in Florida changed my life. I have spent the last 10 years in and out of treatment centers and did residential at renfrew twice within one year. The second time there was amazing. I was given the opportunity to do some real hard work and the staff challenged me and encouraged me every day. I went in angry and close to giving up but I allowed myself to be honest, and I mean completely honest, and authentic with my struggles. Renfrew met me where I was and I am now doing better than I’ve done my whole life. No treatment center is without flaws but I have to say I would not be where I’m at in recovery if it weren’t for the help I received at renfrew. Shoutout to the amazing staff!

this business does not believe in giving back to the local community and is only about taking from the community. They have no problem letting their clients walk around our neighborhood to get exercise yet they have a no trespassing sign at the entrance to their property so I’ll residence aren’t welcome on their property

Renfrew, you think a simple response to people's reviews will solve the bad reviews... 90% of these reviews are negative, at this point its delusional to say your program is anything above 2 stars! Treating patients like they are bad people for their mental illness and punishing them will only make them feel worse. I hate these types of facilities because they never deal with real-world situations, they are in a controlled space that very little prepares those with anorexia for living outside of a recovery place like this. Glad my parents never sent me somewhere like this, what a shame... wasting people's time and money! To think you know how to treat someone, when you have never gone through that yourself. Yes you have PhD, but does not mean you are superior to everyone. Never letting people outside is terrible for mental health, basic necessities of life: food, water, and sunlight... starving them of the outdoors!
