I intially went to this salon when I first did my big chop, I received a finger comb - no issues with this visit. Fast forward two years ago I scheduled a trim and silk press my appt was canceled due to a sick child -no problem that’s life - I was planning on attending a special event so I wanted my hair done on this particular day - I instead when to get a Dominican blow out somewhere else. Fast forward to 2/18 made an appointment for wed 2/26 for trim and silk press I was going out of town on Fri and wanted my hair done prior to leaving. On 2/26 at 1:55 am I received a man email an a txt that my appt was rescheduled to the following Wed because the business was moving to another location, I was so happy I wasn’t getting cancelled that it really didn’t dawn on me of what time it was sent. Why at 1:55 am would I receive a text I thought that was unprofessional to receive this information at this time of day. Today 3/4 was my appt I’m on my way there I check my email to make sure of the address and there it was the cancellation email it came in at 1:58 pm sick child again. No rescheduled appt or a referral to another stylist. There wasn’t even a txt this time so I wouldn’t have seen it if I hadn’t checked the email to confirm the address. I really try to be supportive of my black owned businesses but situations like this makes it difficult. There has to be a back up plan for family issues that may arise with owning your own business.
