I've been trying to get our $926 Refund from the Niles, IL location since Feb 7th, 2022. I spoke with Christina (who is no longer there) and she stated that Corporate Approved the REFUND and cut the check on March 7th, 2022. She stated it would be sent to the Niles, IL location and then sent directly to us. Fast forward a couple weeks and the Refund Check magically disappears and Christina resigns from Value City Furniture. We then spoke with Chris who wasn’t helpful at all and told us to contact Nicole Gomez, who is the District Manager. I spoke with Nicole Gomez and she stated that she just came from another location and another customer is experiencing the same issue, who’s been waiting almost 6 months for their refund check. Nicole then stated she emailed the Recovery Department and will have them reissue a New REFUND Check, ASAP. She said to call back on Monday, May 9th for an update and that the Niles location is her New Store due to lack of personnel. I called back on Monday and came to find out she is longer at that location and that Eddie will be our go to person. I had them transfer me over to Eddie and nobody picked up, in which I left a voicemail and never received a reply. I then attempted to call back today Wednesday, May 18th and was told Eddie is not available today. This is becoming outrageous! We’ve been waiting for a refund of $926 for almost 3 ½ months and I feel like I’ve made absolutely no progress this entire time. I’m considering filing a police report or reaching out to our Local New Stations, who do these types of investigations. I need someone to assist us immediately! UPDATE: Matter was resolved two weeks after this review. ValueCity had to re-issue a Refund Check because they couldn't find any records of it being cut in the first place.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. SCAMMERS. LIARS. HORRIBLE NOT HELPFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would give this place a zero. Took over a year to get delivered a bedroom furniture set, the delivery service made a huge hole in the wall, and they said they would give me a credit of $50 to spend but only if I spend additional money??? Why would I spend more money when I already did on the furniture set and the delivery service damaged my wall??? Which now I have to get fixed. All the quotes to fix from painters was over $300 but value city would only give $200 and said that was market value. SAVE YOURSELF AND DONT SHOP HERE SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE WHERE THEY CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
