I passed my license renewal today at Sta. Paula DMV. Can I take documentation to any other DMV OFFICE to get the REAL ID attached to the license when it is sent from Sacramento?

You have to do the application online first. If the application don't go through on the website it will give you a code that you take to the dmv with you. That's what I got told yesterday.

I was there about a month and they were not taking any additional appointments. I managed to have all my paperwork together on line and in hand and went and stood in line. I was there to renew my license and to get a "Real ID" I was in line for maybe five minutes and they let me in. I was in for maybe 20 min., And then I was done. It was fairly painless. I don't know what you're going down for but do as much as you can online and carry your back up with you.

There are no appointments until august 17 when I went two weeks ago. But if you are willing to wait make line an hour before they open, you WILL make it in to take your test. 20 ppl that were in line that morning didnt have an appointment and I saw all of them go in but they only let a certain amount in at a time.
