The quality of Banfield seem to have diminished over the years.. They do not have enough staff.. waiting on hold multiple times on the phone for close to an hour! Not being able to SEE a vet in person for almost 3 years!!! due to COVID, I get it, but their policy remains the same, while other places you CAN actually see the vet in person, talk to them, better understand what is happening. With Banfield, its all drop off appointments, you can never actually see the vet, which makes the experience far less attractive. On top of it, the vets keep changing and you can never build a relationship between the dog, the vet, and the dog owner. After being with Banfield for almost 9 years, looks like its time to find a more caring environment, where the dogs are treated with more care, and where you can build a rapport with the Dr.

Needed to just get vaccines for my dog before we went on vacation. Booked an appointment online with the Canoga Park location because all the Ventura County locations were booked over a month out. Loaded up my kids and dog and started to drive out only to get a phone call half way there to be told that their online booking is not reliable and that we can't be seen. Well now I have 2 days to get vaccines or cancel my entire trip because the pet hotel needs updated vaccines for him too stay. If your online booking doesn't work then don't offer it at all! I dont recommend and will be canceling my plan with them.

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
