Just want to share with Honda dealer in Santa Maria what could be an improvement for their service department on which I used a number of times to avoid going to all those run down mechanic shops available that don't have the proper equipment and training to work on cars. I had bad results in most of my trips to Honda of Santa Maria as follow. some time ago battery was replaced because batteries only last a couple of years and no one knows why, the cable was left loose, on my way home the battery became disconnected, right after the repairs was completed. The car went for service oil changes and I had to remove 1/2 quart from transmission and another from engine because it was so far overfilled, during the inspection the air intake was left unclamped so car was breathing directly from outside the filter instead of filtered air, they do not torque bolts and nut to specifications also. I was going to get someone to repair my seat and waited for months even after a couple of remainders to the dealer and that never came, eventually I gave up. The dealer is very nice inside and out, employees are very nice also, the parts and service are more expensive even the cars that is been my experience, I do not have an issue with the cost of repairs because I agree to it, is convenient and expect a dealer professional service but unfortunately that has not happened. This is been my place for Honda repairs for many years, is getting harder to get things done correctly when I take the car for service, is very nice that they check the car for proper fluids levels and other things but I find it impossible to believe that they cause other problems as leaving parts disconnected only in the process of checking the fluid levels and filters. As per management they always been very professional during our consultations.

I set up an appointment to test drive the a Civic SI that had just arrived, but when I arrived the salesperson I had been speaking with over the phone was not there, and nobody there was even aware that the car was to be driven. After a brief chat with a friendly sales rep on the floor, it turns out that the Civic SI model isn't even available for a test drive without going through the numbers and basically doing everything up to but not signing a deal. And on top of it, the price for the car isn't available until you talk with them since their "market adjustment" is 10k over the 27.5k MSRP, so of course they won't show that on the website. No complaints about the politeness and professionalism of the staff, but frustrated about wasting my time and being deceived about the ability to test drive the car.
