I have long been a fan of this shop, but now I have a specific example of why. I took my bike in to get repaired after a problem I probably caused myself. I was worried that I was going to be told what I did wrong and like I should have fixed it myself. They not only took great care if my bike but made me feel successful as a bike owner. I also listened in on a few sales conversations and I was impressed with how much care they took with each, very different, type of biker. Alex and the rest of the team are amazing! Great work!

I asked them to sell me a mountain bike good enough for riding easy trails at the park. They sold me a bike that has broken several times. They refused to give me a refund. They told me later that the bike they sold me was only good for paved walkways, like what a beach cruiser would do. They told me I could sell the bike on Craigslist or KSL and use the cash toward another bike. They accused me of riding on jumps and “extreme terrain”, neither of which was true. They knew my weight, riding abilities, and goals for the bike before I purchased it. A reputable bike shop doesn’t sell low quality bikes. You can go to Walmart for that. I took my money to another shop in Kaysville and got a wonderful bike for more money. That bike shop doesn’t sell low-quality bikes. That’s the main difference between Skyline and nice, family-owned bike shops. Very bad customer service. I will never return. You can get the same kind of service that Skyline offers at Walmart. If they were a good bike shop then they would clear the low-end bikes from their inventory. Anyone make a sale on low-quality inventory. It takes a great store to choose the right inventory, turn down low-quality material, and have the integrity to say “no” to cheap bikes that won’t last.

These guys went above and beyond to fix up an old bike I plan to use as a commuter. They sourced a used de-railer to get the bike shifting properly and saved me some dough. Great folks, highly recommend!

Could not do a simple gear adjustment on a 7 speed Trek. Two kids working there just gave me the deer headlight look and said they had never done one. THE BIKE WAS ORIGINALLY PURCHASED THERE! Then I was told I could leave it to let them waller in their stupidity. Avoid this training wheel school! Said I knew people that could do it and the kid said GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. He probably should have gotten smacked by this old man.

They are a very helpful, good shop. If they don't have it they will get it.
