Thanks for giving me a place to visit my Daddy! ❤

A beautiful final resting place for a loved one. For my situation being out of state and during the height of COVID-19, they worked with me and were very kind, considerate, and respectful.

Human remains are interred there along with their headstones.
Yes. 100 years. They said. If you served in the military or are a spouse you can be buried there. Free of charge to all veterans . No matter when you served
In general, if both are veterans, they could both be eligible for their own plots - side by side. There are service date considerations that must be met, honorable discharge required, etc. Most funeral homes work with the St Louis scheduling office for burials at all National Cemeteries.
They are placed in the morning before the ceremony starts.
We had a nice and very yummy brunch at Summer Kitchen after our ceremony...in LaVista not far at all.
DD-214 Discharge paperwork is all you need. Give a copy to your funeral director and upon time, your 214 is faxed to St Louis for determination of elegability. Omaha National Cemetery will get a case number and begin process.
No ma'am there isn't a place offered at any National Cemeteries.
I would they have flower pots and those things that look like garbage cans also
You can look it up on their website.
If the spouse was not a veteran, the spouse name goes on the same stone as the veteran.
The admin building closed at 4:30. The gates close at sunset.
I think that was a mistake, I attended the funeral of the Vietnam veteran that was at the Omaha national cemetery.
The National Cemetery is reserved for United States Military Veteran service members. More information can be found on the Veterans Affairs website https://www.cem.va.gov/cems/nchp/omaha.asp
Design projection is to be accepting interments for aprox 100 years.
Start at the administration building. Look for the right turn - "services line up here." If the service is at 9, 11 or 1 - line up in lane 1. If the service is at 10 or 2, line up in lane 2. You can wait in the admin building for the escort car - coffee, water and rest rooms.
I don't think we will have a ceremony. We are putting up our avenues flags today.
Office is open monday thru friday 8am - 430pm on memorial day we are in the office 7am to 7pm
