I went to the sound cat for the first time today and They are the most amazing and compassionate vets I’ve ever been to. The clinic has a bunch of clinic cats roaming around which I absolutely LOVE! All of the staff are extremely caring, accommodating and just overall amazing. When I was there I came across a cat up for adoption that I instantly bonded with. He was missing a leg and had been at the clinic for months already. However you could still tell how good they had treated him there. I took him home with me and it was such an easy process. All of the staff there also wanted to say bye to him and I could see how much they all care for him. This was my first time there and I’m amazed by how amazing they are there!

Our cat needed Dr Jennifer and her team last year to have life saving surgery. We LOVE the Sound Cat! Will only go there!

I wish we had found this Veterinary when we first brought stray kitty home. We switched when she was 2. We were extremely please with services and care they extended. We just recently loss our 4 yr. old cat to feline leukemia. Dr. Williams was genuinely concerned and sincerely sorry to relay such a devastating blow. The whole staff were very sympathetic to us. We also received a sympathy card from them. I would overwhelming recommend this Veterinary Hospital to anyone who has a kitten or cat. This place is top notch.

Was referred here by a family member, let me just say this, I will not be adopting kittens from these people. When I walked in, nobody greeted me and once I was acknowledged, they were very rude. I had no vet reference for them to check so the dr had to approve the adoption. However, the dr wasn’t in and I wasn’t notified that until I had waited an additional 20-30 mins. I took my business elsewhere (Petsmart). The experience was great and I adopted 3 kittens. My three kittens will not be going to this clinic either!!

Look for a rescue kitten. Avoid the breeders who contribute to pet overpopulation in the South, please! Petfinder.com Adoptapet.com

Does this place do walk-ins? If so, what would the cost be?

Well considering we're in a pandemic, no place is truly walk-in appts. But they are very good about getting an appointment based on the urgency and they are not going to charge you double the cost of a regular appt, like other vets will do. Once you call and explain to them what your cat needs, then they will schedule you an appt. For example, I have a 4-5mos old kitten who'd 3 seperate times, got a fever of unknown Origin. He, and 2 siblings were given distemper 4n1 vaccine at Sampson County shelter, came in at 6wks of age and under a pound. So all 3 had a post vaccine reaction due to size and age. So I was glad that they did not stay at that shelter. They have a very high euthanasia rate plus an uncaring and lazy staff. So then I noticed he was having Neurological issues. It was not urgent/emergency appt, but they got me in the next morning! And the appt cost was $45.. most vets charge $75 for a walk-in urgent type appt. Hope this helps answer your question!

Yes

Have you ever treated a cat for obsessively licking his hair out? He does not have fleas and steroids don’t work.

My cat Devon used to lick himself bald. He was tested for everything, had taken several kinds of meds, to no avail. We finally discovered he had a food allergy. He was put on a hypoallergenic diet, and now he looks like a normal cat.
