You should never declaw* a cat. It is essentially the same as amputating the top part of your finger, to the first knuckle. It can lead to litterbox problems, and has been known to cause issues in later life in cats. It is cruel and unnecessary. If your cat is clawing your furniture, consider training the cat, and getting it a clawing post or scratching tree. NEVER DECLAW A CAT. This is also a felines main weapon of defense, and if your cat were to get lost outside one day, and be attacked by another animal, it would be defenseless with no claws.
I know that Dr. Richmond did teeth cleanings at his practice before this one. Not sure if he still does so you might just want to give them a call and find out. I've been meaning to do it myself but I keep forgetting!
Michael is a great veterinarian, I was there this morning with my 2 dogs. I like him and he's wife.
