It was beautiful, warm, clean, fun! Didn't find any whole sand dollars, but the little fish like to nibble on your feet, legs while you sit in the water. We found crabs, small and smaller, a bunch of hermit crabs, and beautiful shells. The water was clear enough to see where you were walking. Great place for kids and adults.

Staff is super friendly. Had an awesome time! Saw the wild horses on the way to the island and found a few sand dollars while we were there. Very inexpensive and highly recommend!

Spring. It was still chilly when we were there but we got buckets full. End of summer I didn't even find 1.
I googled Sand Dollar Island and I went to there website and paid online. But there contact info is up there.
Up to 2 weeks ago they did. All depends on weather... You can always get into their site and check the calendar or talk over the phone. Hope that helps
I think we went around 11:00 but the tide starts to go down around 10 it takes 12 hours then after 12 hrs it starts to rise again. Check the weather because if they leave and a storm comes up you are sol until they get back. But a boat runs every 45 mins I think.
Yes.. but if you take the paid ferry out you will need to check with them. If you go on your own boat then no problem.
There is an option to pay extra and bring your dog on the feery... we went last weekend and a dog rode along with a couple
