I found myself needing a haircut this weekend, but I wanted to make a change from my usual quick, basic service salon (we've all had our GC times). GC is fine for basic cuts and upkeep, but I didn't want basic this time. I wanted *me* So, I got to doing some research for someone who I could trust to do what I wanted, and that's when I found Shannon at earthBOUND! I was so so lucky to be able to get into a same day appointment! I came in and was greeted immediately by Shannon herself. It was my first time there, so I needed to fill out some info, then we were on our way to her station. The entire salon is so CLEAN! That's something I noticed as soon as I entered. It smelled so so fresh without having been soaked in false fragrance or artificial air freshener. Shannon asked me what I was looking for, and when I told her I had references that happened to be on Instagram, she was open and patient with me as I pulled up the pics and video clips of my goal. Once she was sure of what I was after, we were off to the wash bowl, where I received the best shampoo of my life. Can this woman massage a scalp! She rinsed all my stress and tension down that drain, and I was so relaxed. Shannon got to work, and as she did, it really felt like we were two old friends catching up on life. She's so down to earth and easy to talk to! I really enjoyed conversation with her. She took her time with me and checked in frequently to see how I was feeling about our progress. Before she did anything, she told me what she was doing and why and what the result would be from it. Y'all...the end result was even better than my references. If you need some hair magic, this chick is a legit hair WIZARD. Like, if there's a cosmetology Hogwarts, SHE WENT THERE. My hair hasn't looked this great in a few years! It's so me and just the thing that I needed in my life right now. I will definitely be going back to Shannon in the future for as long as she's doing hair!! Thank you, Shannon!!

I have never cried over a haircut until today. When I left the salon it seemed good. Then I tried to put my hair up.. I asked to trim my curtain bangs and half my hair on my left side is nose length and the hair on my right side is fine. It looks like I have a mullet, I tried curling it/styling it different and it didn’t help. I canceled my dinner reservations because I don’t want to go out in public. The hair coloring is great, just a terrible cut.
