My experience working with The Shade Store started off bumpy with several hiccups, but Elana was fantastic and helped me navigate several production issues. I'm grateful that the staff at the University Ave store (Palo Alto) is so thoughtful and understanding. I'd work with them again.

You will be shock to know how incompetent and terrible they are in every single possible way! The quality of blinds,materials, and service are beyond low and absolutely over-priced! We ordered our blinds and motorized system more than two months ago. They did not take the measurement of our kitchen window correctly in the first place and they had to come back for another measurement which turned out to be incorrect again!! When items arrived half of them were missing and they claimed Fedex lost them which is a lie (We have a set-up account with FedEx that shows anything ship to us in advance, the company did not ship those items at all)! The guy who installed half of the blinds gave us paper blind to block the lights in our bedroom because of course this blind was between missing items(Top in priority in our list because of the light from our neighbor facing directly to our bedroom)! Installers told us the company can expedite and send us missing items between 3-4 business days (Never happened)! He found out the kitchen blind also was short then they needed to order it again because of twice wrong measurements!! We walked to the store, emailed, and called them at least six to seven times to ask them about order or track the missing items again (at the same time they kept sending us an email multiple times to schedule for installation when we do not know if they already have ordered it again or not or when it will arrive... quite Pat and Mat, right?! After weeks and weeks anxiety, eventually missing items arrived yesterday(We do not know yet if they are correct or not!). They scheduled us for the next two weeks (almost mid-August) for installation... Such a shame that they do not even try to fix their mistakes faster! For such an over-priced order that you can get something similar from Home Depot or somewhere else for five to six times cheaper, highly likely faster, and better quality & service! Awful experience!
