One reason I like this place is they do not make the homeless leave when the weather is bad or when EXTREMELY hot. Most places place judgement beforehand but the library branch does NOT. They don't allow anyone to take a nap but they do allow everyone/anyone to charge their phones or just hang out as long as they are quiet. And refill water bottles and cool down or warm up. That means a lot to me because I personally spent almost 3 years homeless. Also, they help by giving as much info to help change the person's situation if interested whether it's drugs, physical and mental help, or job postings.

Please be careful on Versailles Rd. I was leaving the public library and went to get in my car right Infront of the library and it's camera ! and a massive dog (pitbull mix) attacked me from the car next to me. Security did not ask them to …Felicia, we are so sorry that this happened to you and hope you are healing well. The Lexington Police Department and Animal Control are following up on this incident, and I’m sure they will be in touch with you if they have any updates.
