I called this office to check on my benefits application after 7 weeks and after waiting on hold for about 15 minutes I was connected. I didn’t get her name but the lady reviewed my application while I was on the phone, asked me a few questions and in the end she processed my application on Monday and I got my first check deposited on Wednesday. I have nothing but praise for the person that took my call. Great job!!!

I thought security weren’t supposed to dig threw women’s purses with their own hands but only ask the person to move items obstructing their view.

I know each person who visits this location may have a different experience based on the time they arrived and the agent they dealt with and what they needed assistance with. I arrived about ten minutes after they opened. My encounter with the on site security was nothing less than professional. I checked in at the electronic kiosk and was called to the window approximately 10 minutes later. My experience with the representative was professional as well. All in all, I was in and out within 25 minutes.

what's the quickest way to get replacement card for my lost social security?
Can someone answer the question??
I'm having the same issue. I applied for retirement benefits over 3 months ago and the application is still in review. I've called almost every day for the last two weeks, have left 8 messages for the agent "reviewing" my application and one in general delivery. I've been on hold 15 minutes at a time and had the calls drop after that. My local office says they can't help. Hopefully someone will have an answer to this issue.
Do u know there number
English please

you can take your application to the office on Blanco Rd
You need to provide the death certificate.
Yes
You cannot make or receive calls in the building, but you can use your mobile phone to play games or surf the web, with one caveat: the volume must be turned off.
I think it’s 855-249-4175 if my notes are correct
I'm not sure I dunno her
Keep calling eventually they answer.... Just have to get lucky... I scheduled an interview two weeks ago in person and recieved in 3 days.
Just keep trying. Sometimes the lady that works in the office is by herself and busy so dnt give up

Just bring your original birth certificate/ID with you. Schedule an appointment first as they don't accept walk-ins at the moment. You'll need to fill out FORM SS-5 either mail it, in person or online.
Same , but they don’t answer phone
Yes
The the office is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. if you have an appointment the security guard will let you in if you have papers you need to drop off the security guard will let you put them in the mailbox inside the Social Security office but nobody can go in unless you have an appointment I talked to the security guard or dropping off an envelope with information for the mailbox inside
Try replacing it online. That might be the easiest way.
For minor children, you will need your ID, possibly the child's birth certificate (most likely not for a replacement), and ID for the child such as a passport, CA ID card, school ID, immunization record, or Medi-Cal card.
How can I cancel my medicare part B.
All offices are closed on Labor Day
If born in the US ID only
No. I wouldn't put your trust in this somebody telling you over the phone what's your activities are for your social security number.
I miss the guard that used to be at the Social Security Office in Salinas. He is something special! He is always so helpful and friendly. I just miss him so much! The new one is always pranking people and leaving facetious comments on the old guard's google reviews! That is really messed up...

If you have already given the child a social security number and you have a replacement card, you need an identification for your child and for you. For your child you can see an identification of the school for the current year, a card that was given in the last 2 years, a passport or identification of the state that has not expired.

If you are a U.S. Citizen, you can replace it online at socialsecurity.gov/ssnumber, with a DMV issued state identification or drivers license. In person you can also use a U.S. Passport or a health insurance card. If you are not a U.S. Citizen, you can apply in person with your work authorized DHS (immigration) document. There is no cost to replace your social security card. The number stays the same. You can obtain a credit report after 3 months to monitor it.
Resident alien card=yes. Birth certificate=no
You don't cancel it. You just go in and get a new card. I'd set up flags with three major credit unions Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion just to be safe. This will help to alert you if someone is trying to use your ssn. I've done this before when I lost my wallet. Your ssn is yours for life. I'm not sure if you can ever change the number. Maybe if you prove someone else has stolen it and is using it or if your life is in desperate need of help. I guess special circumstances can be an option. It wont hurt to ask. Just try not to carry it in your wallet in the future because you never know. Also if you can afford it there's always lifelock that is a company that specializes in protecting your identity for a fee. Good luck. Hope I helped you.
