Before you read the 5 star reviews, know that when management switched, the maintenance guys PROMISED us everything would get fixed and told us to leave a premature 5 star review. That had to have been nearly 9-12 months ago. Fast forward to today, you’re LUCKY if someone shows up within a week of your ticket request. I’ve had requests that took MONTHS. They have absolutely ZERO urgency when it comes to serious matters like leaking ceilings, broken AC units, and flooding sinks. An issue that has been happening for about 2 months now, is that the sinks flood FROM THE PIPES. Dirty water from the pipes floods into the sink. This water is absolutely filthy and smells too. I placed a call and was told someone would be able to come and fix it the day of. Do you think anyone showed up? I called the next day as well and was told someone would be able to come by and fix it. Do you think anyone showed up? It took us to plea and yell at the staff over the phone for anyone to even seem like they had a sense of urgency. This is just the most recent issue I’ve had with the apartment. I don’t even want to mention the rest. I’m attaching images of what I had to deal with, and what management and maintenance failed to help me with when I needed it. Dirty, smelly water that seems to even have critters in it! Bottom line, it seems as if the staff is careless, disrespectful, and does not care about the residents. They just want to make sure the check comes at the end of the month, while not upholding THEIR side of the lease agreement. I’m not one to make negative reviews, yell or lose my wit, but the complete disregard and disrespect that I feel as a resident here is beyond me. If you’re thinking about moving here, I hope this review helped. I’ve lived here 15 years now and by FAR this is the most incompetent staff I’ve ever seen work here. I can only hope this is rock bottom, so the only way to go is up from here.

I have had a great moving experience with the help of Javier De Los Santos, the community manager at Palm Lake. I am moving to a bigger apartment in the same community and he made my lease transfer very smooth and easier, the 5 star rating is for him. The community is very nice with all the facilities, quiet environment, beautiful lake view, great environment with a lot of trees, nearer to many restaurants and grocery stores. Buses to pleasant hill BART are very frequently available within 2min walk distance. I’m glad I’ve moved in here, would highly recommend this place.

These 5 stars go to Javier De Los Santos, he went beyond his responsibilities, I was moving from Orange County to Concord, it was a long drive and Javier knew I was tired and even it was 7am on a Saturday he opened the office and helped me with the paperwork to be able to move in, other managers would’ve told me to wait until 9am, those two hours helped me to get some rest that I really needed. The apartment is very cozy and I am glad to call my new home…

Varies based on credit. It was anywhere from $300 to first and last when I last checked.
