I’ve been bringing my pittie mix here since she was 8 weeks old (she’s now 2.5!) and every single time I’ve brought her in for check ups and other scares we’ve had with her, the staff at Banfield have been amazing! They always make sure to be very clear with me on exams, what the Dr’s recommend for her care and are very flexible as well (remember to be kind if you need flexibility ;) I always feel like my girl is well taken care of and I, most importantly, trust the care they provide her. Thank you Dr. Shin, most recently! The folks at the front desk are always so sweet and excited to see us! I will continue to bring my girl here, thank you so much Banfield Roseville! <333

My sister in law took her chihuahua to this vet because she was unable to reach her usual veterinarian and was concerned about the dogs head tilting and the fact she kept leaning her body to the point she could barely stand. This vet diagnosed her with a heat stroke and began to criticize the way my sister in law took care of her. About a week later, animal control showed up at the house and said they were there on behalf of Banfield Hospital. My sister in law had already taken her chihuahua to her regular vet and they diagnosed her as having buildup in her ear. After a cleaning the dog was no longer tilting and everything was fine. My sister in law was concerned with her pet and wanted to get her the help she needed. Banfield did the exact opposite, giving an incredibly wrong diagnoses, prescribing medication the dog did not need, assumed the dog wasn't being well taken care of, and contacting animal welfare. This entire experience was unnecessary and I urge everyone who wants an honest veterinarian to avoid this place.

Please add some music or even just a TV playing movies in the lobby. It is awkwardly silent in there, making it difficult to have semi-private conversations with the check-in staff, or each other, especially when it's not a happy or comfortable conversation. Also, some sound might help animals with anxiety. My dog already gets nervous & anxious when arriving at the vet, but she gets worse when she hears other dogs barking, howling, or crying there, so some other sounds might help keep her calm, drowning out those other sounds a little. Especially when some wait times are half an hour or more. Other doctor or dental offices, & even other vet offices also have music or movies, or even just sports or something, playing in their lobby. Anything but awkward, anxious silence, please, lol

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
You pay a yearly fee abd it includes 2 Comprehensive exams with bloodwork done, vaccinations, unlimited free office visits, some plans also include dental cleaning under anesthesia and x-rays. Doctors are friendly, extra needed items like surgeries are at additional costs but cheaper than other vets. You can pay per year or monthly but it is still for 1 year. Paying monthly can sometimes be better because it means if you need to upgrade at any time (like if you have the cheaper plan but dog has a foxtail in their ear or needs an x-ray you can upgrade and use the dental/anesthesia part or older dog x-ray part included to keep your cost lower overall).
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
Im not sure, you can call them though!
