Was not expecting the $3 parking fee. Kinda bummed me out as the park isn't as clean as I wish it was. Grass poorly taken care of in most places but still a nice place to enjoy the heat. Water is alright it's not disgusting and we decided to swim but it's pretty green and cloudy and there's TONS of seaweed/random debris. Overall not satisfied but not mad. Had a good time but don't know if I'll be coming back anytime soon unless I can find parking elsewhere.

I like how big this park is, there are lots of walking paths and a big bonus is that they're really close to the lake and make for a great scenic view. There are multiple covered areas available throughout the park for rent during day use. There are usually bathrooms open, but during the fall/winter months they're typically closed which can be a huge inconvenience if you're bringing little kids and bring your own soap/sanitizer, I never have any luck with there being any.Places for fishing, lots of ducks. The only thing is that this place is very sketchy in the early early morning... seems to be a place under the covered areas near the entrance where people go to score drugs. Stopped bringing my kids there that early, other then that it's great during the day.

Festival of lights was perfect. Kids got tired of walking but it was great family time and the exercise is good for us all π₯°

This park is a wonderful place to walk around with my pup and enjoy the trail and the view. The trail is paved and it loops around, youβre able to exercise without getting lost. There are gazebos in there that you could rent out for a gathering when in season. When not in season, you could use it to have a picnic or just enjoy some time at the park.

No, they advertise that they close at 9 but they will stay open till the end of the line. We went one day (New Years Eve) and we didn't get in till 11:30 the line was so long. I recommend getting in line at 8:45 as it will be shorter.
Yes in the main playground.
We load up the kids and take hot chocolate in spillproof cups. Also take blankets because we have car windows down (unless it is raining) to see lights better.
Fantasy Lights will operate every night including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
November 28... Thanksgiving thru new year
You can fish, but you still need a fishing license and parking costs $3 or $1 for military.
There are a few benches around the playground and in the covered patios that you can also reserve for parties.
Most parks will let you reserve, go to the Pierce Co. Parks website or Spanaway Lake and see if that's an option
There is an awesome hoop with a lot of parking. Who needs a net? ;D
I dont think they rent out the motors
I believe after Memorial Day there is a standard launch fee that applies for any watercraft
Yep. Just checked their Facebook. It wasn't planned to be closed. They closed because of the weather
Fatasy lightd closes at 9pm.
No no fire works in all parks in Washington state city or federal parks.
Not at spanaway lake. I believe Alder lake has camping spots. Also camp Lakeview is very nice with camping and cottages to rent
Yes, cash is preferred, you can also purchase tickets online for a discount
I believe A. But again that was my first visit.
Yeah,lots of people are out!!
There are BBQ pits throughout the park, so there's no need to bring yours.
yeah pretty much first come first serve public shelters. very large though easily able to accommodate a multi-family gathering. clean place to.
I don't think this question belongs here as you can easily find the parks address on maps and see the places of interest nearby .

Summer of 2017

Not allowed, people do it...To my knowledge, have not seen such"meth"activities..."Good Park" ...Go there to"think", "relax", "get away from stress at home", "let the children play freely and have fun...πππ
That bridge can be found behind the first shelter on the right when entering from military road
3 dollars to get in during summertime, 7 dollars for the boat launch. Disabled veterans enter for free as long as you have you state card.
They lock the gates then a lil while later they come thru and tell anyone on the Dock's to leave.. If your not on the dock when they come thru.. Oh well...lol
Good Question! I think you can actually inquire on the website. Or, I think there's a # you can call as well.
There aren't anymore half price nights. Those were Nov 27-29 and Dec 4-6. But you can check their Facebook page to see if they still have a $3 off coupon
