I went online for red cross to pick up an exercise bike. It also given me conformation that red cross will pick the item the next day. They never came. I waited a couple of days and canceled the order. Then I received an email stating they were out of town because of IDA. I understand but,the website shouldn't have taken any request for pickup. By the way I did sell the bike.

Unless you were involved in a disaster you do not qualify for assistance with the Red Cross. Try Catholic Charities.
Please take your clothes to Catholic Charities are Goodwill. Both are partners with the American Red Cross. They can accept and distributor clothing and blankets accordingly.
simply following up with a doctor to get a clearance to go to back to work and there are resources that person can have right now there's the Havens in Houma Louisiana for homeless people
Please contact your local Red Cross for Disaster Mental Health for help with this request and also FEMA. I hope this helps answer your question.
The Red Cross isn’t equipped to handle small numbers of item donations because our focus areas are in providing shelter, food and other immediate relief to victims. For this reason, we rely on our partners to help with coordinating drop-offs, sorting and distributing items donated. We would encourage anyone wanting to donate clothing or other supplies to reach out to community partner organizations that have stepped up to handle that immense and important task.
