I wish harvard parking would give out more information about what is and what is not possible. First, my partner has a truck that she uses for work which is too high for the parking garage. She has to walk 15 minutes across the bridge to get to her car now because tenants of harvard are not allowed to park at the surface lot. I wish I was able to find out more about this before I came to school. Second, harvard parking should revise their electric vehicle section of the webpage to let students know that you will not be given a permit to charge on campus. Although 90% of the spots are never used, I have spent last year on the waitlist and when I called to inquire about why students can't charge when no one is using the chargers, I was told that the waiting list is under the purview of the parking director and there is nothing they can do about it. I understand that faculty are probably given those permits but if it is not a dedicated spot, student should be given permits as well so that we can charge at school. If you are coming to harvard business school do not bring an electric car. You will be stranded.
