Love this place The lake, bike path, playground, and basketball hoop means you do not need to leave the campground too have fun. If you do, there are beaches, a supermarket, and restaurants near by. Some camp sites have access to the lake. Showers are not coin operated. Bonus: walk to the lake at night

I've camped all over Massachusetts and Nickerson is the best by far. Access to parking on awesome bayside beach, crystal clear sandy bottomed warm sweetwater ponds!! Beautiful, private campsites. The forest is beautiful. Close to everything if you want that, or nothing if you want to never leave the park. Camp store has everything you need, including great coffee. Always hard to leave.

We made last minute plans the day before when we say a yurt open up. The park is really nice and the yurts were perfect. They have power and water so you can charge up devices. We stayed pretty close to a bathroom facility that was super clean and had showers. Outside was a sink which made doing dishes super easy. We did not bring our bicycles which I feel like almost everyone did because the park is set up perfect for them! Unfortunately for us, there was an open fire ban as well as Cliff Pond closed because water quality issue. Still the park was amazing and close enough to spend a day at Crosby Beach not far.

Long driveways to get to camp but once there site I had was big it can be shady bathrooms old or dirty or both!! No fires when in a drought!🫡 this place was nice

Very few, but yes, they do. Not for use in connecting to your rv or tent. Just for charging it bath appliance use.
Nope. Some state parks in MA have it, but none on cape cod do.
Yes, the park and ponds are open to everyone, residents and non residents alike, or whether you have camping reservations or not. You can buy a day parking pass at entrance, it might be credit/debit card only.
Not that I know of but check with the office I'm sure they'll help.
You can park in the parking lot to the right of the check-in building. You'll have to ask or call someone inside the check-in building about how long you can park in the lot.
Reserve america site is saying they are not
Yes there are several lakes that have good fishing. They do sell bait at the park store.
Yes! We visit all the time for day use of trails & lakes. You just need to get a parking pass for the day.
I do not believe they rent campers. Check on MA State parks website. I think they rent yurts
If camping. 11am check out. If not, technically sunset.
Loop 4, site 12! You can't see other tents !
I don't go there. no hook ups facility is filthy. rather go to a really nice CLEAN campground off cape. you can do much better.
Great place to for family. Some of the clearest fresh water ponds I have swam in. Beautiful!
Area 5 and 2 have a few water view sites. But every site is "within" a short walk to the water. None of the sites are on the water.
According to their website October 20th ends the season
Fires are allowed. People get confused when they hear you can not bring firewood. That is only for the transportation of firewood though. Plenty for sale from the park store of certified, approved firewood. Fires allowed, firewood not allowed. :-)
There is a boat rental at Flas pond. I think there's one at Cliff Pond as well. They have canoes for sure and i think kayaks too
Camping closes after Columbus day for camping. I thing they are open for day use after that.
Yep, you can camp in their facilities or bring your own tent
Restrooms are always in great shape. As far as poison ivy, you're in the woods. Leaves of three, leave them be.
Yes. With proper fishing permit you can fish her and deep sea fishing just down the road.
At least bring up to date rabies vaccine paperwork, but calling to check is not a bad idea.
Yes,it is a state law that dogs be on a 6 foot "max"leash at all times .
How was it?
Yes there is a dump station that has facilities there and water spigots around the camp sites as well as at the bathrooms.
$45 / night for yurts, plus a $60 security deposit and I think they are implementing an additional $5/night surcharge for out of state visitors.
During the high season it is a Sunday to Sunday stay. Max for the whole park is 2 weeks. On the off season (usually before July 4th and after labor day) those relax down to 1 day stay minimum.
