A real Southern gem in San Francisco! Grits, Jambalaya, Okra, Shrimps, Peach Cobbler, need I say more? Very friendly service and the perfect space for friends to catch up or someone solo longing for home-style southern food. Try the Bloody Mary- Pickled Okra never tasted better.

Had a delicious brunch here on Saturday morning. We were able to make a reservation, and they sat us immediately indoors. The apple beignets came out piping hot and sooo delicious, not too sweet and flaky pastry. We had the pulled pork hash with scrambled eggs (alright, not a lot of flavor) and the banana foster French toast (super sweet/decadent). Great service from a waiter Felipe! They also have a cute outdoor patio in the back.

Excellent Southern flavor with super friendly service. This is the sister restaurant of the famous Brenda's French Soul Food in down town SF. So it has all of our favorites (including their famous beignet) without the long lines or the busy crowd.

I am usually pretty long winded in my reviews and have a lot to say, Brenda’s is simple so I am gonna keep it simple too. …

They have a back patio, which if open (after breakfast, staffing and wind not withstanding) seems to be dog friendly, almost encouraged.
