It's the only official US post office in town. The postmaster that operates here is very rude and pompous. The employees seem kinda beat down to be honest. The employee with the best attitude is the custodian. Can be a wait at times.

We have had lots of mail and packages go missing. The tracking numbers say they are in our mailbox. Unfortunately for us, often mail and packages are just left in our driveway or on our cars. Today I came home to two packages on the trunk of our car but the tracking says it was in the mailbox. At this point I have lost several hundred dollars from missing packages and am not able to get through to a human at the Hillsborough Post Office. Their number seems to just ring for a long time and then go to a fax machine. I did get through once and was told to file a police report. Would really like some help on this matter.

One of the best post offices in the country. Nice people working here. I’m always in and out fast. They’re helpful if you forgot to bring a pen or paper. 👍

Lazy, rude and incompetent. The Hillsborough USPS branch has convinced me that the USPS needs to be disbanded entirely and replaced by the private sector.

Unfortunately there have been serious lags in the mail ever since Louis Dejoy was appointed last year to basically make sure the mail came to a halt before the elections. FYI he also held substantial stock in competitors of USPS which he did not disclose initially and benefits him when the postal service sucks. I have several family members who were/are mail carriers and they went so far as to rip out sorting machines that were brand new from various facilities, cut hours, tell postal workers to leave mail on the docks that they were not to work any extra. Luckily it's been getting better the last couple of months but it's still not where it should be
Hi Bert! You can try calling the post office, but because they are slammed they may not answer. Most likely your items are running late. I run a small business and everything is delayed. If you have a tracking number you can try that online. Unfortunately it still may not be accurate. I hope this helps some. Happy Holidays!
I think you can of course its extra $$$, but there are UPS offices around.
