This is our experience ONLY with the Rehab area. We had no interaction with any other area. My Mom went here straight from the hospital for rehab prior to going home. I went and took a tour 1st to make sure that I was hopefully getting a good place for her to go. First she was put on isolation for 8 days to make sure she was Covid free, even though she was thoroughly tested at the hospital and arrived from the hospital by ambulance. I was made aware of this and was assured that she would receive therapy in her room daily until she was out of isolation. Then she would go to the gym. It turned out that she had very little of any kind of therapy in her room except walking to the other bed, bathroom or door and back to bed once a day, and that only started after she had already been there 5 days. The only day she was taken to the gym and walked any further was the day I was told her insurance was saying she had to leave the following day and I put in an appeal. They needed to do an assessment so she finally went to the gym. The appeal did not go through and she really didn't want to stay there any longer. After getting her home and realizing how weak she really was she agreed she should have stayed and we made calls back to them at Village Care that went unreturned. During the 2 weeks that she was there I could get no doctor, no nurse, no therapist to call me to answer questions I had. I asked numerous times in the front office and when we had our plan of care "meeting " to have someone call me to no avail. I am her legal medical power of attorney and could get nothing from them concerning her medications or therapy. After considering all of this after we got her home, we decided to pursue another place to send her to get the care she needed. I would never want to put her back in there and basically pay for no help. Now, on a positive note. The CNA's, etc. that dealt with Mama on a regular daily basis were mostly super people that really seemed to care. They were kind and patient. No complaints for them or their work ethic.

My husband has been to Village Care several times over the last 3 years and every time he has been very well taken care of. Love the staff!! They are the best!! They keep me informed of his care and all that is going on with insurance and such. This is the only place I will let him go when he needs to have extended care and PT!!

Our family is very grateful to the staff at Village Care of King, NC for all of their help with our father. Each time I entered the building, I was always impressed by how many staff members were present, and they were always willing to interact with us and with my father. They seemed like genuinely kind, proud, hard working people. The facility will have even more resources once the new wing opens up soon as well. Thank you!
