The Hotel at Oberlin

Amazingly clean hotel with beautiful rooms. Kind and friendly staff Wonderfully positioned for easy access to the town. The bathrooms are kind of strange because you don’t have a shower door and the toilet is trapped behind the door to the bathroom.

First off let me tell you what it's like. I worked here. The laundry room is a mountain. They don't train the people that work there. None of the toilets are ever cleaned properly. Trust me. As far as the rooms? Bedbug service has to come twice in a week to control the outbreak. If you have children thinking about going to college here a simple Google search will do them some good. They owe the Gibson's about 30 million. So instead of actually paying them what they need, they pay the employees like total trash. So take that into consideration when you think about thier education. Ed helms is the only person to ever make it out of oberlin college. from an employee stance, if you miss a single spec of dust I'm the ENTIRE hotel, your either fired or shamed to the point of no respect. This is a WARNING do not work here EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The room was pleasant and clean. The room was very cold and the thermostat confusing to use. I enjoyed the shower, soap scents and cable tv. The website says they have complimentary coffee and infused water, but they do not. The front desk staff told us they haven’t had this since covid, so their website is outdated.

Staff was friendly, room was clean but uncomfortable. No way to turn the heat off or down---can open the window (which is fine) but this makes the heat go higher. Shower lovely but impractical for reaching needed items, sprays water everywhere. The eco-friendly rooms are cute but fly in the face of a lot of accessibility issues/universal design.
