I’ve ran this course several times and it is a special place where I retreat to find peace and solitude within the hustle and bustle of the Triad. It is hands down one of THE best running/walking and casual biking trails in the local area. The scenery is amazing and the trail offers just enough of a challenge. It’s approximately 7 miles around the entire loop.

Such a gem of a park. Nice path for walking or biking. Also great mountain bike trails off of the main path. I do feel safe parking at this lot and there are bathrooms.

My daughter and I love coming here to kill time, relaxing trail, most bikers are cautious of others.

You can, but it is against the rules. Not a lot of great spots anyway since it's pretty overgrown. Just go to the pier.
