Nice park for playing or walking. There are several trees around the playground so usually have some shade. The swings are in sand, which I don't like, but my kids love.

Great playground & swings for the little ones. Nice picnic area, walking track, basketball & tennis courts. Overall good amenities.

I agree with C Lynn they do have a smooth crushed gravel path. And it's well maintained. I see staff out there tending to it almost every time I go.
$ 85 for days, $ 100 for weekend, for oven and park and shed with tables.
I thought it closes by 9:00pm
Picnic shelters require reservations 2 weeks in advance, but I believe there are separate picnic tables with grills that are first come first serve. See http://www.co.forsyth.nc.us/PARKS/unioncross/facilities.aspx
