I spent the weekend at the Grandover Resort September 2-4, but it wasn't just any weekend. It was a girls' weekend for myself, my sister, and our 2 best friends from high school. We graduated over 30 years ago and have not all been together since 1999 . I live in Charlotte, and the others live in Raleigh, Houston, and Louisville. When we began planning for our reunion trip a few months ago, I suggested a spa weekend at the Grandover - none of the other ladies had been, but trusted my recommendation as I had stayed there a few years ago and I knew Jamye Bridges-Pass was the spa director. I reached out to her for guidance on planning the weekend. She sent me the list of packages (we opted for 2 Grand Experiences), directed me to book on the website (easy!), and I sent her my confirmation number and the desired spa services of my group. She worked behind the scenes to make sure our rooms were next door to each other and that our services were all scheduled as I had requested. Everything was handled with one phone call and a few follow-up emails. Upon arrival at the resort, my friends were impressed with the grounds, the staff, the welcome gifts, and the rooms. When we arrived at the spa on Saturday, Jamye was there to greet us with her warm, huge smile and check us in. The spa experience was EVERYTHING and more! Her team took the best care of us - friendly, competent, kind, and helpful. Massages, facials, and nail services were all top notch. After our services we relaxed (dozed!) in the relaxation room; with the team periodically coming in to check on us to see if we needed anything and to make sure the tea, water, and that fantastic trail mix was available as needed! I had to share the "above and beyond" service that Jamye provided throughout the booking/planning process and her team provided us on our spa day. My friend in Raleigh has already texted me, asking when we are going to meet up at the Grandover again, and is considering planning a similar girls weekend for her neighborhood friends. We definitely will be returning and I highly recommend the Spa at Grandover Resort as part of your stay. Kudos to Jamye Bridges-Pass! She did an awesome job making sure our "girls reunion spa weekend" was one we will not soon forget!
