I would ask a veterinarian.sometimes owners of.pets fall ill, or a partner dies, sometimees they find financial circumstances change or they are forced to move and are unable to care for their pet any longer. They frequently will consult their vets for help in placement. Call around and ask the receptionists and get them to put your name on a list.
