The adult facility is by far the worst! I waited almost 3 hours, and still hadn’t been seen. I was told I probably wouldn’t have been seen for another 3 hours! I ended up leaving to go to a different ER, I was in and out at the different location within an hour! I had a ruptured eardrum and Paulding ER could have cared less!! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! Y’all need more than one doctor in your ER! If you don’t have more doctors it shows why!

I need to share this to begin anew with Paulding Wellstar. I had been to this ER several times with what I perceived as quasi-emergencies. Once with frost bite. The wait was ridiculous and we left. However, this time o brought my 90 year old Mom in from a prior Urgent Care visit where their PA said it was above his treatment ability. The wait was nil! We were literally taken straight back and honestly Our RN’s and Doctor came in straight away. They provided my mom the most excellent treatment as she suffers from memory loss and it can be hard for her to understand what they are doing. They explained everything to her even though they knew she had memory issues and treated her gently. While there was quite a wait for bloodwork (they ran) and x ray results (Piedmont Urgent Care did an hour earlier) it wasn’t as bad as I’ve seen in many ER’s! I was pleased with all of the friendliness and pleasant responses received and will definitely give a 5 star on this particular visit! Great job!!! Nurse Courtney and Doctor Adam Kaleensky

Went to the ER in extreme pain in my upper abdomen. I was crying in pain and near hyperventilating. I was left in the waiting room crying begging to just let me lay down for over an hour. Finally at 430 am I was put on a gurney in a hallway by a supply closet. Within half hour I had pain meds and an IV. I was left in hallway until 11 am no call button, no monitoring except one nurse who took my vitals at around 6 am and registration who had me signing paperwork while I was shaking and crying in pain. I have no idea what I even signed. Finally at 11 my surgeon came down to see I was laying in a hallway and had me immediately moved to pre-op and apologized profusely. I then had emergency gallbladder surgery at around 2 pm. While in the hallway staff was loud complaining and gossiping. Tge hallway got super busy around 7am. I feel like I was neglected and left in a hall. I was in the hall from 430 am Thursday until 12 pm on Thursday. Surgery staff was amazingly and very professional and treated me like a human.

I can’t believe some of the negative reviews , I hate that for anyone . My visit to Paulding ER with my mother in law was so on point . The staff from triage to techs to the nurses NP and MD were such a great efficient team and most of all compassionate. I can’t believe I didn’t experience burn out with this staff in the ED ( idk why I expected less ) expect for the check in - she was very uncaring and rude , I will detail my experience with her in my survey . Anyways I am so grateful and proud of this team ! Thank you for your kindness and professionalism! These guys wowed me!
