We are enforcing the North Carolina mask mandate that requires all customers and staff to wear a proper face covering, with the exception of those have one of the approved exemptions listed in the relevant executive order. We have certainly lost some shoppers due to requiring face coverings, but because Habitat's affordable shelter ministry has always been focused on human health and safety as one of our core values, we are strongly committed to requiring masks until the CDC and NCDHHS officials state that it's safe to do otherwise. We are also disinfecting common surfaces, and have set up 6' social distancing markers throughout the store. At the cash register, we have a large glass barrier between the cashier and the shoppers.
They have all kinds of home goods, furniture and miscellaneous items.
