Magnificent view and experience. Beware that the road leading to and away from the garden are rocky dirt roads that will make the back of your car look very dusty.

The gardens are lovely. They are well designed and make for a nice walk in a formal setting. The views from the estate are amazing. There were several families having picnic lunches in the grass. The expansive views all around them.

Flawlessly maintained formal garden spaces commanding sweeping views of the rolling Dutchess County countryside with a riot of color in the Cutting Garden looking its best. A first-class garden experience.

Hello, The house is a little over 80 years old. The architect was Bancel LaFarge. The oldest parts of the garden date to the construction of the house, though it took 30+ years to complete the garden. The landscape architect of the inner garden was Bryan Lynch; the landscape architect for the rest of the formal garden was Evelyn Poehler.
