So serene. Beautiful place to visit and sit or feed the koi. My son loves to sit and sketch. We've been a few times and will be back again.

This garden is a quaint garden that has 2 falls and and moon bridge. It's a nice walk to help remove yourself from urban life. The koi are active and will come to the shore line to visit with you. If only we could remove the light traffic noise that could be heard in the background.

This place was really serene and awesome. We tried to go to the 12:00 p.m. yoga but we unfortunately missed it. It's a small but very pretty Japanese garden filled with artists and painters painting. The weather was really nice when we went and it was filled with all types of people. You do need to make a reservation And pay for parking but otherwise admission is free. Will definitely check it out again!

OMG this place is a treasure!! And it's completely free. Parking is right across in the lot (60 mins for $5). Overall the garden is on the smaller side, but every small space is exquisitely planned and maintained so well. Thank you for making this space so incredible.

It's $5 a person. Their yearly membership is $50. It's well worth it.
No, they don't allow it. They have fish food to buy.
NO FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED! check out the website, all the rules, regulations and pricing is there. Don't answer questions you don't truly know the answer to!
Sadly it's still closed thanks to this disastrous pandemic. 😑
They have a bike rack and the admission is 6 dollars
No. That's not true because I went during Cal State spring break and it was open
I don't think so. But they open today... You can call them.
There is a price also. I think 7 bucks for public
The upkeep of the gardens is partially paid by the donations or entry fees that are paid by us individuals who go to enjoy the gardens.
Yes, it's best to check with the staff first, to be safe , they change some of the rules !
No, the photographer just pays the admission fee
I've been going there for years (Long Beach Japanese garden)and haven't paid an entrance fee, you only pay for the fish food.
There was a Peach blossom festival March 3. There will be an iris festival on May 5.
Call first for information about bringing your photographer they will let you know !
No.
No. Is ADA accesible but no wheelchairs.
Yes, they are members of a reciprocal group of over 300 gardens across the country. Call to make sure that the garden you are a member of is included.
I don't think dogs are allowed to enter the Japanese garden. If you see a sign in there, it might say that pets entering there is strictly prohibited.
Kind of. They have benchs, no tables. Picnics arent allowed for the most part. You can contact them to arrange something.
Yes you can volunteer at the Garden
Yes, but i don't think they allow professional photographers. No tripods.
No cost, but donations are accepted. You can feed the koi from the coin operated feeder.
The website says closed until January 21 for Winter break.
Check the school's website or call the garden.
Park across the street, north side of Atherton. It's a residential area. Park closer to Minnie Gant Elementary School. Walk to the signal, cross street, walk back, angle right and to the Japanese Gardens. Good exercise also. Hope this helps.
There is no cost to visit although it costs to park a car. It is closed on Monday. Please be respectful and considerate with all the rules as it is a quiet place where people visit to relax and enjoy their tranquility. Enjoy the beautiful Japanese gardens.
