We have been using Alternative Aire for years; before and after moving homes.. They have been dependable, fair, prompt and professional! Highly recommended.

Truly one of the VERY few honest, reliable and professional companies left out there...called them for a 2nd opinion regarding an hvac issue b/c i was highly suspicious of an initial diagnosis. Enrique, the tech that came out, was knowledgeable, professional, honest, friendly and just nice to deal with. He quickly confirmed my suspicions and fixed the issue in 15 minutes saving me $1,500. I will make sure everyone in my neighborhood uses this company moving forward. I called the first company for a refund and was rudely dismissed even though they almost succeeded in scamming until Enrique saved the day!

I've used them for several years, VERY happy with the service & they came recommended, I gladly recommend to others :)

Hey Thomas, We do this by performing a Manual J heat load calculation. It’s important to be sure that any HVAC contractor that you use for your New Furnace Installation performs a heat load calculation. Feel free to read more about it here: https://alternativeaire.com/furnace-installation/ Thank you.

Hi, Thank you so much for taking the time to ask us a question. Zoning divides your home into areas with common heating and cooling requirements. Each zone is controlled by its own thermostat, allowing you to be comfortable no matter where you are in your home. Zoning also allows you to leave unoccupied areas without heating or cooling, saving you more money on energy costs. For more information, kindly please visit the page below: https://alternativeaire.com/zone-systems/ Thank you so much.

Hi, Donna! Smart thermostats can help your household cut energy costs by allowing you to set a customizable program for your home climate. It allows you to access your home system even when you’re away in order to change the settings and save your system from working extra hard to maintain a temperature for an empty house.
Hi, Bebe. There are many benefits to using a zoned climate system, but the most notable is the ability to save you money while using less energy. These systems allow for homes to keep certain “common” areas cooler or warmer while letting other areas remain at higher levels. This gives your system a break from attempting to climate control your entire home, using less energy, and increasing its efficiency.
Hi Sidney! If you notice ice forming anywhere on your AC system, your first step must be to shut it off. It’s important to let your system defrost before any further inspection or repairs can be done. Once it has thawed, check to ensure your filter is clean and that there are no obstructions or debris around or inside the unit. If your unit freezes up again after cleaning and turning it back on, you will need to call for repairs.
Good day Kurt! If your furnace or AC aren’t working properly, first check to see that the unit has power and that the thermostat is operating as it should. You can also check to see if your filters are clogged or need to be replaced. If these simple fixes don’t resolve your issues, it’s time to call for repairs.
Hey Eileen, Yes. Our maintenance plans will ensure your system is not only functional but producing clean, healthy airflow as well as operating at peak efficiency levels. Clean and properly sealed ductwork plays a crucial role in achieving this, so it is part of our regular maintenance checks.
While there is no set timeframe for the life of your filters, it is generally recommended you change your filters at least once every three months. This is recommended for the average household but does not account for homes with outside contaminants or other household allergen risks. If, for example, you are a pet owner, we generally suggest changing your filters more frequently on a monthly basis.
Hey Raymond, Absolutely. We understand that heating and cooling issues can often occur after hours, but that shouldn’t mean you need to sit in discomfort while you wait for business to open back up. We offer 24/7 emergency services for all of our clients to keep you in comfort no matter what time of day. I hope this answers your question.
Hi Harvey, It’s possible to improve your energy efficiency and lower your utility expenses without upgrading to an all-new system. Some of the easiest ways to reduce your carbon footprint and save on your heating and cooling bills include running your system at night when there is less demand from the outside to keep up with the set temperatures, and keeping your thermostat set at a more moderate temperature. We would be happy to discuss other ways you can improve your home’s energy efficiency – give us a call today. I hope this answers your question!

In general, your home requires approximately 25 BTUs to control the climate of one square foot in your home. For a very rough estimate, multiply your square footage by 25 to get a general idea of how large a system you will need. It is important to note, however, that there are several factors that figure into determining the right size unit – including ceiling heights, type and quality of insulation, drafts, and ductwork seal quality to name a few. A consult with our trained technicians will give you the most accurate estimate on what you’ll need.
