I contacted this company for a mold inspection and was given a time slot within 24 hours. On the day of the appointment, the inspector arrived on time and did an excellent inspection. He explained what he was doing, what to expect from their inspection, and gave an estimate on cost of removal. I am very satisfied with the service that I received from this company.

I contacted Servpro due to a dishwasher leak that caused water damage in our kitchen. Servpro was always responsive, kind, considerate of my COVID concerns and resourceful. I wish my insurance company allowed them to complete the full renovation after they completed the water mitigation. They even helped us locate a plumber when the insurance-assigned contractor was falling behind. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Will the smoke smell from the fire go away if I open the widow and turn on a fan?

More than likely, it will not just go away. Depending on the type of fire (grease, electrical, natural materials, plastic, etc), there is probably soot involved as well as odor. That residue or fire byproduct needs to be mitigated. These byproducts can be dangerous for you to breathe, touch, and ingest. We go through a state of the art process, use only SERVPRO Certified products, and our technicians are trained and certified to eliminate source of the odor from your fire.

Why don't you just rip out the cabinets, floors, tile etc? Wouldn't that be faster and easier?

We are a restoration company. We don't throw out materials just because it may be easier for the technician. Our technicians are trained, certified, and qualified to restore materials to their pre-loss condition whenever possible. This approach saves our customers money. It saves environmental resources and limits landfill use. We are not only stewards of the environment but also of the South Mecklenburg County community we love so much!

The toilet was clogged and overflowed. I cleaned it up with towels and wiped it clean. Do I need you to come out?

YES! Water does not stop where your line of vision stops. It goes in cracks, through materials, under objects, in walls, under flooring, in wall cavities, etc. In addition, the water from the toilet bowl is considered significantly contaminated- aka. sewage. It is not safe for you to use that area until it has been cleaned by a professional and mitigated (dried).

Will this water dry on it's own?

Unfortunately, most water damage will not dry on it's own before creating secondary damage- like hardwood floor damage, microbial growth, contents damage, etc.
