Yes, they're always looking for volunteers! They hold volunteer orientations which you can sign up for on their website - https://www.pawscrossedny.org/volunteer
Hello, We are currently not open for new volunteers but will be towards the end of September! To volunteer with our pets you would have to be accompanied by a guardian over the age of 21. We also have Junior Volunteer Days at least once a month! You can keep an eye on our Facebook page for upcoming Junior Volunteer Days!
Are you talking about a puppy or an older dog? If you want to adopt a dog that needs room to run and you already know that, fencing goes up after you adopt. Training 1st on a Leash until the fencing is done. Paws will not hold Any dogs and its first come, first serve. Only if you Foster, and another family wants That dog, can they then adopt after you have perhaps bonded. You still have 1st rights in that case though. Always Adopt, Dont Shop and Good Luck!
Depends on the age of the Dog. Puppies are more then Seniors
I am not sure about the age requirements without level training so best to give them a call when they open tomorrow and they will give you the right answer. Volunteering is great!!
You will have to train the dog when you adopt them. Some of the older dogs might have been in homes before and might have already been trained. I rescued a 2 year old dog in May and she knew how to go up and down stairs already and to not pee or poop in the house. I had to teach her everything else though
I know they will take blankets and bed spreads and you can drop it off anytime they are open. I think their hours are between 10 am and 3 pm on weekdays. I'm not sure about the open bag of food
Check their website
Go to there Web site Paws crossed Rescue in Elmsford NY. Go to Available Dogs. Good Luck
Hello, Typically we do but right now we have been fortunate to have more than we need. We hope you can donate these items to another group that might need them more than we do right now. Thank you so much for thinking of us! Jennifer
Yes! We are a true no-kill rescue, which means we will never euthanize for breed, space, or behavior!
Hello, you're more than welcome to come by for a tour to see our pets but if you're interested in interacting with them, we are always accepting new volunteers. You can find out more information on how to get involved at pawscrossedny.org/volunteer
Hello Marie, you do not have to fill out the application to visit but it is definitely recommended to fill it out ahead of time. We don't hold pets so if you were to come in and fall in love, we couldn't guarantee that cat would be available once your application was approved. Our applications do not require any commitment!
Hello, thank you so much for thinking of us!! We can definitely accept the crate, sheets and towels!! The only things we cannot accept are rugs, shoes, and pillows! Thanks again!!
Hello, I'm sorry to hear that! Please fill out a surrender questionnaire here and we will be in touch to see how we can help: https://www.pawscrossedny.org/surrendering-a-pet
Hello! Shadi is correct, our fees vary per dog based on medical history! The best is to come in or call about a particular dog you're interested in.
Hello, We do often get purebreds they just tend to get adopted very quickly. I would recommend getting an application in and checking our website frequently. Thank you so much for looking to adopt!!
Probably something you can do. Most minors have to be accompanied by an adult for most volunteering.
Hello, yes we absolutely can! Thank you so much for thinking of us!!
Hello, Thank you for wanting to adopt a cat! You can be 18 with parental permission, otherwise 21! You can fill out an application online or at the Rescue!
Yes if I had time I would volunteer.
Hello! Our Junior Volunteer days are open for all ages! To be able to volunteer with a parent or guardian you must be 10 years old and to volunteer alone you must be 16. Hope that helps!!
What's drugs cat food? But no, they wont take anything that has been opened. I suggest bringing it to a local Vet to see if safe. They may.
Call the Simpson Clinic and see if any one turned one in on site. I haven't seen one for adoption. Bunnies yes. Try Pet Co or Smart Pets, they more likely have one to sell you.
Hard to get an exact breed especially with puppies. Puppies as an ESA may not be the greatest idea as they need care around the clock and your inquiry is for a fur pet that can help you. Perhaps heck with a A+ Breeder who has an older Bichon for your needs.
Question should be dorected at someone else. I was there once to look at dogs and cats. Call them and ask
Call Pet Co who sells products for reptiles, they may have a referral rescue for you. What about donating to a learning center/zoo?
Yes they accept cats, but they do discourage it because it costs a lot to maintain a safe environment for these animals.
It's Shiba Inu and they have a mixed breed. Great dog but be ready for great outdoor adventures!
Yes an adoption fee. These animals were abandoned once and Paws Crossed want to make sure they will be going to a safe and loving forever home. They are well taken care of at this place where they receive vaccinations and tested for health and receive lots of love from volunteers and staff so they can have the same when they get their adoptive human parents. I agree with a mandatory fee to show at least the new pet owner is willing to part with finances to offer the best medical and comfortable means.
