Do you guys train your dogs before sending them to good homes, or do the owners have to train them theirselves. (Just asking if I need to)

You will have to train the dog when you adopt them. Some of the older dogs might have been in homes before and might have already been trained. I rescued a 2 year old dog in May and she knew how to go up and down stairs already and to not pee or poop in the house. I had to teach her everything else though

Shadi is correct, some dogs have some training from previous homes they have been in and others will need to learn from you. We have a behaviorist on staff that works with the dogs but it is not always a long enough time to receive the desired amount of training and there are some things that cannot be trained for in a shelter environment.
