They made my appointment one hour after they closed on Saturday. They never even called me on Monday to see why I didn't show. It's because there was no one there but myself and another customer.

Our sun conure Pierre was healed by Sam Backos and bird clinic team. We are extremely thankful for the immaculate cleanliness, attention and pampering. We got there as an emergency on a Sunday morning and right away we were treated with the upmost diligence and care. Would not wish to have another sick bird ever again but if we ever did this would be the place to take him to. Reasonable cost and humane treatment . Recommend to anyone .

I’ve never encountered such unprofessionalism let alone at a clinic. 8/26 I had a 1:15 appointment for my precious umbrella cockatoo. I arrived 10 minutes early and the first red flag I was not greeted once coming through the door. I had to say hello first. This was my first time as a client here and of course my Rossi first time as a patient here and OF COURSE I filled out the necessary new patient paperwork where I listed my phone number. Ready to go into the examination room I was told that I could either wait and stay in the waiting room or leave and come back because the exams would take about 2 hours and told that I would receive a phone call once they were done. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. Once 4 o’clock striked I decided to start driving back to the clinic from FTL and thought maybe on my way in the car I would receive a call. The appointment was @ 1:15 @ 4:55 I decided to call and ask when she was going to be done so I can pick her up. The receptionist named SHAYTAY but goes by “TAY” (in the purple) was very rude on the phone! Told me that my bird was ready an hour ago and that I was given a call and text message from them. THAT WAS A LIE. I explained to her on the phone no one called me and TAYS attitude shifted completely left being very adamant on the phone that I just basically ignored their call/messages and RUDELY hung up on me while I was talking to her. Once I arrived to the clinic there was TAY on the work phone, I imagine talking to another client. Another lady at the front kindly greeted me and TAY VERY RUDE while herself talking to someone on the phone already blurbs out yelling so the back staff can hear her “the girl that we have been calling and texting is here for her bird” and interrupts the conversation I am having with the other lady BY TAPPING HER LONG GHETTO NAILS on the counter very dramatically over and over demanding the assistant to show me the phone calls and text messages where they were supposedly calling me (all while she’s on the phone). She showed me and the number was wrong :) Then she began to show me some paperwork where my wrong number was listed trying to make it seem like I myself listed my own number wrong! I kindly asked to show me my paperwork that I filled out earlier for first time patient and there I see my paperwork with my handwriting with the correct number listed. I can not explain how taken back I was by THIS WOMEN. To continue this horrible experience she then tried to take into her own account to be fake nice by saying that my bird has been scared/screaming and not letting no one come near her. To recall that when I walked in to the clinic to pick her up I have not heard no screaming UNTIL she went in the examination room where my cockatoo was left alone in a dark room and screaming at the top of her lungs scared when she went in the room. I had to kindly ask the other lady to tell this TAY to get away from my bird. I walked in the room and have never seen my cockatoo so scared she immediately rushed to crawl on me. BAFFLED is not even the word. Of course she was scared what negative aura this lady had. In the lady wearing the green scrub top defense was that TAY is new…what does new have anything to do with manners? Lastly for the cherry on top I paid all this money for the doctor to have no interest in taking in account to introduce himself to the owner of his patient :) Sad that everyone was apologizing for this lady’s actions. 8/29 I received a voicemail from SUSIE with threat messages. Returned call, asked for HR info. The women who answered the phone named CAROL, stated she was HR and the manager. She put me on hold to have this psychotic woman SUSIE to remove me from hold to try and have a feud on the phone. SUSIE! calling a client from your work phone harassing & leaving threatening voicemails is illegal. I asked to speak to her boss, and she said “not happening”. Asked for HR‘s info and she said “no such thing” and hung up on me. COMPLETELY UNETHICAL! I can see why the staff chose to work with animals because they do not know how to speak to people.

Maria Depergola | Sep 16, 2018

I think a regular visit is less than $100. But it depends on type of bird and what else you have done. They're prices are very reasonable. Dr. Backos and staff are absolutely wonderful!!!!! We'll worth the money!

I'm sure you would have to have the bird examined before they could give an estimate. All I can say is that I am extremely pleased with this clinic and the staff is amazing.
