Very poor customer service. Spoke to 5 different representatives in one day, out of the 5 only 2 were polite and respectful yet not helpful. Not one customer service resolved my issue and only 1 of the 5 representatives knew the answer to my question regarding coverage.
Dulce love
They don’t deserve 1 star- This company in total is trash!! They don’t help and I’ve been fighting them for 5 years for payments made for 6months of service. No customer care help and a bunch of running around. Still fighting them.

This is a United healthcare vs Neighborhood Health comparison. It is not just about United but a comparison between the two plans. Neighborhood Healthcare of RI. and United healthcare. Neighborhood Health Integrity plan is a great health insurance provider. Very friendly and professional. They combine your Medicare and Medicaid insurance plans into one easy card to show the doctors if they request to see your insurance card. Neighborhood Healthcare answers the phone by humans and it's only after 2-4 rings. If you’re below the poverty level ( nearly $26,000? ) and are disabled you will never pay a dime for your health costs. They have a contract with Medicare/Medicaid.. Dental, hearing, non emergency transportation to doctor's appointments, and vision care included. Includes prescriptions as well. Premiums are taken out of your Social Security monthly payment amount. My complete monthly premiums are around less than $150.00 for either plan and if you do direct deposit you never see the premium. Note: I have recently switched to United Healthcare Dual Complete plan due to an Assisted Living Facility push. They said they are both the same. (Then why change?) They're not! It’s been since February 2,2022 and I already don’t like them so I may return to Neighborhood Health soon. I am constantly receiving bills in my United Health Portal. $650.00 for a visit to my eyeglass store for glasses and the exam??? My previously owned RayBans where half that cost. I’m not paying it as I know it’s covered but the “kid” in customer service in the "vision" department in Kansas (I live in RI on the northeast coast), said “you can always appeal it!" I said that I was "not going to appeal each bill you send me" “It’s your job to bill me properly” so it’s barely been 2 months so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt as so far, I haven’t heard from them. I never liked them as I heard that millions of dollars in lawsuits for fraudulently charging Medicare have been settled. Neighborhood Health said I could re-enroll anytime I wanted to so if I get anymore bills, I will drop them. Well, I did it. I returned to Neighborhood Health May 1st. United Healthcare will pay my bills until the end of April so no gap in coverage. I just felt that United Healthcare was too big and every time I called I was passed around the Country! UPDATE: 05/03/2022. I finally have had enough and re-enroled May 1 /2022 in Neighborhood Health. There were many reasons why I had to leave United so I made the move. Funny how they keep sending me bills. They just sent me a bill for $400.00 for dental work saying that my dentist was "out of Network” so I have to pay 100% of the bill! I checked first before I made the appointment and knew she was so, I looked her up in United's list of "In-network" doctors and she was indeed “in Network". I threw the bill in the trash. They always seemed to try to wiggle out of paying. I think they figure if enough customers get a bill they say isn't covered but it is covered the people may just pay it without questions. I'm thinking of the seniors here who trust everything. Plus, they have so many " need a referral or prior authorization so we won't pay because you were supposed to get United's permission for the procedure" that it's mind bloggling. Or "we have determined that it was not medically necessary" and therefore you get charged. I don't want United healthcare to overule my doctor's orders. Even some prescriptions needed "prior authorization!" They kept trying to bill me for things that were covered! Glad I'm done with them as I was never comfortable with their policies and procedures and requirements and got tired of fighting with them all the time. It feels good that I no longer am a customer of theres. Cutting up their card was a relief. Throwing the pieces in the trash was even better. Neighborhood Healthcare Integrity card says "member not to be charged." Co-pays and deductibles are non existent.

Maybe....depends what it is about. If in RI...call 401.737.6900 and let them know what you are calling about. If it's about Medicare in RI you can call me, Pam Young at 401.236.6060.
I would probably call 4017376900 just to make surw.
