The building department is great to work with as a local contractor. No major issues at all after 15 years of business. Chris and Mike are easy to work with and are open to honest discussions as to the application of local building codes and practices. Zoning is reasonable, but has had a few setbacks on reading and interpreting their own laws; I managed to set those straight by flipping some pages in their book. No big deal. Tax people are friendly, (as they should be, considering what they do for a living) and the notary service is very convenient. I'd give 5 stars, but the assessor's office can't seem to get my business entity name correct on my personal property declaration over the past few years. Do you willingly pay a tax bill sent to your address, but not addressed to you? Neither do I. As for elected officials, make your own assessments, and let God sort the rest out. No politics for me unless it directly impinges the smooth running of my business. If it does, I may amend this review. :)
