I appreciate the last minute availability when all other hotels were sold out. But I paid for no smoking room that still smelled like smoke. There were other rooms Available but when I complained I was handed a disinfectant spray can. Then I complained again and was told it’s all booked up.

The manager was creepy and disrespectful and it was not like the pictures that it showed so they literally scammed us, the door could not lock and it looked broken, everything was poor quality and then the manager kicked us out and we were there for not even an hour and said he was not paying us back for no reason just because we complained that it was not like the pictures or what it said in the website that we booked it on and threatened to throw out stuff out physically if we took longer than 10 minutes to leave and made my children leave out in their bathing suits drenched without letting them change not only am I gonna review this I will make sure that man gets fired and I will get the money back.

I stayed a lil over a week and I didn't have any problems until I needed something say around 2-3am...there is this one guy who works overnight and his customer service skills are the worst and he'll get angry if you ask for ANYTHING especially if he was asleep...I mean you're at work...why are you sleeping anyway???he must have been dreaming because when I ring the bell he comes from the back screaming I don't have any coffee...(I needed toilet paper) he then turns and walk away...at this point I'm saying excuse me...I don't want any coffee...he didn't care...I ring the bell again...he comes back and I ask for tissue...he got upset and says to me...I'm going to add you to the do not rent list...so now I'm standing there confused because I don't know why he's treating me this way because I asked for tissue ...then I realized he was upset because I woke him up and he wanted to go back to sleep...I then find out a lot of the family works there and that's why he gets away with having horrible customer service ...I spent $80-$85 a day of my hard earned money just to be treated like garbage...after this I already had my mind made up that I was leaving at checkout but I overslept and they acted as if I murdered their whole family and put me out so fast...this is not how you treat people who spends their money that they work so hard for...I will not be returning to this Howard Johnson location EVER...somethings I can tolerate but this was unacceptable and I will be calling corporate. Terrible! The staff was rude. The room smelled like smoke. There was a used condom in the room. The refrigerator didn’t work. And! If you ask for toilet paper or towels in the evening you won’t get them. The front office will say you’ll have to wait until the next morning and ask room service. Definitely won’t be staying here again. Don’t waste your time or money!! You’ve been warned..
