We came here to help serve food to the single adults who were attending a regional conference for the church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints especially just for single adults 30 and over. It was a fun time! There was great food, plenty of games and many singles having a good time talking and getting to know each other. The Church offers many groups opportunities such as this at no charge to them. This park was a wonderful place to have a get together like this with many people in attendance. The park allowed the area to be reserved and it accommodated a large group. We were in area 4 and there was some construction in the adjacent parking that wasn't a big problem but took up 4 spaces right in front of the pavilion. The park was picked up and clean... pretty well maintained. We didn't use the restrooms so cannot comment on them. We can recommend this park and the gatherings put on by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Wholesome fun...

I loved cook Park! It has a little bit of everything! Sand volleyball, playground, trails and it runs right along the Tualitin River. We were there for my kiddos soccer game and then explored along the river until we found a couple other areas to explore. You could spend all day here and still have more to do :)

Gabby and I walked the trail that runs from Cook Park down along the Tualatin River and comes out at sw 108th st. Great little walk through. The woods with interesting houses, benches periodically and a great little fresh water stream.. nit to crowded.

Tigardballoon.org - it's in the faq, they do not offer rides to the public.
? No. Its a park not a dump.
Yes, you can use portable gas grills.
I'm not sure but we had a boat and fished
Yes, you can fish here. For a better fishing experience I would use a canoe or a kayak though, bank accessibility is not good.
It is actually against the law to smoke an any federal, state, public or city parks in Oregon.
Yes, you can bring in your own stove. If it has a stand, use it. If not, put a fireproof barrier between picnic table and stove like a metal sheet or heavy foil.
The city of Tigard website is where you do reservations.
Don't think you can rent a table. You can reserve one i think. It also could be first come first serve
It's great for picnicking either out on the grass or under one of the numerous picnic shelters. I believe there are even bbq stands in some of the picnic shelters. The park has a sandy volleyball court, a basketball court, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, waking trails, and a few kids play structures. Dogs need to be on leash in the park, but there's an off leash park if you follow the path past the butterfly garden and the Tualatin dog park is also connected by walking trails. I think you can swim in the river, but the water quality is more suited to kayaking, etc.
Yes there is a river that goes though the back end of park I have seen people fishing there nice and peaceful part of the park
