It's great for picnicking either out on the grass or under one of the numerous picnic shelters. I believe there are even bbq stands in some of the picnic shelters. The park has a sandy volleyball court, a basketball court, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, waking trails, and a few kids play structures. Dogs need to be on leash in the park, but there's an off leash park if you follow the path past the butterfly garden and the Tualatin dog park is also connected by walking trails. I think you can swim in the river, but the water quality is more suited to kayaking, etc.
I see lot of 🐕 there, there is a dog park if you take the trail to tualatin side of the park from cook park. I have not seen people swim but definitely a good place for kayak.
Great stop with kids and dogs. Leashing of course swim but im sure the water is cold. Pitching rocks and getting feet wet tho
I've seen children swim in this water but I myself would not as it is a river and can have under currents.
You will find lots of dogs walking in the park, but leashes are required. I would not recommend swimming but there is a dock where people kayak and paddleboard.
