I have a card I have not used for maybe 10 years. Should I be updating it (I haven't moved). I am especially interested in e book reading.

I believe cards do expire, so you should go to your local library and re-register.

Yes, they have an entire floor dedicated to children's books. Lots of programming, after school clubs, homework help, etc.
