I’m very sad to write this review. My family and I stayed here for many years. New owners took over, gave the place a quick face lift and then almost doubled their prices. Many friends of mine also stay here….back in June I received many phone calls regarding the price increases when they booked for a lesser price…I assured my friends that the motel would honor the price they originally booked at and they did…we were off to a great start! I stayed a few more times in June and July…. We had 5 rooms booked on August 14…while checking in the owner was extremely rude and accussed me of not canceling on an earlier stay. Not true!!! They could not even tell me the date that happened! They tried to tell my Niece she had two nights booked when I went over the entire reservation with the owner a week before when they called demanding 1400 dollars for the rooms while I was driving! They also charged me an extra 50 dols for an extra car and person in the room….I reserved the room With 3 beds why would I get charged more when the room Sleeps 6 people?? I only had 4 adults and two children…I payed 380 dols plus 50 for a room that was moldy and had more sand then the beach!!! I asked the owner for a cot for my grandson they refused to give me one!! They said it’s only for rooms with one bed!! Lol After our horrid stay I went and talked to Reena who is an owner… she didn’t care about anything I complained about….she said go ahead right a review …so Sadly I did. I recommend staying at the anchor Inn…the rooms are very clean and the people that own the place care!! Plus to boot the prices are wayyyy cheaper!
