My daughter just started horseback riding lessons July 2nd at Windemere. She absolutely loved her first lesson! The trainer was very friendly and knowledgeable. It's not just a place where they put you on the horse and ride in a circle. They teach you how to clean their hoofs, brush them, put a saddle on, walk them and put them up afterwards. You learn so much more than just riding. Everyone there was so friendly and encouraging. There are updates going on as well. A covered arena is in the process of being built and it looks like other updates around the property have recently been made. My daughter can't wait for her next lesson!

My Daughter and I started riding at Windemere this June and absolutely love this barn! Teresa has established a professional, safe, and fun environment for anyone wanting to learn horsemanship. The facilities are incredible and their school horses are all super agreeable. Brooke is not just an amazing Trainer but a wonderful role model of Grace. I’m truly thankful God brought this place into our lives and we look forward to what the future holds!

Windemere is the most professional and well kept barn and equestrian center I have been to in the Jacksonville area. I started lessons at Windemere after turning 30! As an adult, learning to ride and care for horses has been an incredible experience and one of the things I look most forward to after a busy week. I chose Windemere over other establishments 1.To be able to learn safely with the most experienced oversight and 2.To learn caring for horses in preparation of keeping my own. Teresa, Brooke, Joan and the team are 100% focused on safety and humane treatment of the horses. It is a pleasure to have this hobby, especially at an age where I cannot afford any injuries. As far as the reviews that mention any yelling or rudeness- this is a dangerous sport- and anytime someone has yelled in my direction it was ALWAYS to keep me and my horse safe. I am grateful for the awareness of the staff and their well intentions on keeping all who work and play here out of harm.

How much are the lessons,is it all year round not just open in summer
No, this is a training facility where you learn grooming and riding. You can also compete in shows if that is something you're interested in. They learn A LOT there.
It's an individual thing, according to what you need. You should really call and talk to the trainers.
50 per hour see Brooke
Not sure but Brooke is an instructor there for 50 an hour lesson
