Roofing job went well fast clean and courteous

About six months ago, we woke up to a large puddle of water on the kitchen floor. The 22 year old cedar shake roof had already failed. Our expectations for longevity were much greater than that. Replacing the roof with cedar shakes again made no sense. So after a lot of research, we settled on a high quality asphalt shingle from GAF and John Henderson Construction as the contractor. Ben Tiven, sales/coordinator did a fantastic job of answering all our questions and explaining all the details of the major job ahead. He provided us with a great feeling of confidence in the Henderson company. So with the arrival of a couple of dumpsters, pallets of shingles and the crew, the work began. Great care was taken to insure no damage was done to the house as the old roof was stripped to the original bare plywood. Each day the roof was left in waterproof condition with ice and water shield. The crew was a quiet pleasant group, and made sure the site was clean before they left for the day. Todd Roderick, the project manager, was extremely knowledgeable, conscientious and great to deal with. After 2 1/2 weeks the job was done and at a fare price. Henderson Construction did a fantastic job in every way.

Here are some benefits of using metal roofing. Longevity. Metal roofs can last 40-70 years, depending on the material. ... Durability. Some metal roofs can sustain wind gusts up to 140 miles per hour, will not corrode or crack, and may be impact-resistant (depending on which metal you choose). Energy efficiency. ... Environmentally friendly. Can add resale value to your home.
Most roof replacement projects that we do are completed in one day. We have invested in equipment that helps the process go smoothly and efficiently. When possible we make sure that we send a large enough crew to each project so that we can complete most jobs in one.day
The short answer is ‘yes’, but but there are the two main reasons why most roofing companies and roofing customers don’t consider winter the best time to install an asphalt shingle roof. The first challenge to winter roofing with asphalt shingles is the shingles themselves. The shingles will lose some flexibility in the cold. They will also become more difficult to cut. The larger issue with the materials has to do with sealant on the back of every shingle. This sealant is activated by heat and sunlight and it seals the shingles together which prevents the wind from getting under them and lifting. The sealant on shingles installed in cold weather may not activate right away; it may not activate until spring.I am not advocating for winter roof installation. If your roof can wait until spring then I would strongly encourage you to wait. But if you are in a situation where it needs to get done, an asphalt shingle roof can be successfully installed in the winter.
